3 things I am grateful for
The most valuable things are often right in front of us.
But most of the time we either ignore or don’t notice them.
We focus on the bad shit.
Or we’re looking for ‘life changers’ when we could be shifting our focus to the smaller stuff that too often is lost in the chaos.
Did someone say something nice to you?
Did you read a quote that connected with you?
Did you eat something delicious?
Was the weather good?
1 thing I will do for myself
An important step in healing or becoming stronger is intentionally doing things for yourself that will help you feel good.
This prevents us from going down the shit slide.
Think of things that you like to do, or something that you could learn to do?
Just keep it simple.
Set time aside to have a relaxing, hot bath.
Go for a long walk.
Read a book.
Listen to a podcast.
Sing in the shower.
Whatever works for you.
1 thing I will do for someone else
‘Nurture the garden you can touch’.
You might not save the world, but you can extend care for people you love, friends and even strangers.
Minor acts of kindness go a long way.
Most of all they prove that your existence is something to be valued.
If you can commit to one act every day, that’s 365 opportunities to make a different to the lives of others per year … even if in a small way.
Check in on a friend.
Leave a nice comment on someones social media post,
Tell the cashier at your local supermarket that they’re doing a good job.
Whether you like it or not, you will change some lives… it’s food for the soul.
